Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Technical PM) with strong Azure cloud migration and platform engineering expertise. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Azure subscription and workload migrations, working closely with application teams, security, networking, and platform engineering teams. This role requires a hands-on technical PM who understands Azure infrastructure, IaC (Bicep), DevOps pipelines, and governance models, while effectively managing stakeholders, risks, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Migration Strategy & Execution

• Define and execute end-to-end migration strategies for moving Azure subscriptions and workloads from legacy or existing environments into target Azure tenants.

• Plan and manage migration waves, dependencies, risks, and cutover activities.

• Utilize Azure Migrate for assessment, planning, and execution of migrations.

Azure Platform Engineering

• Drive implementation of Azure Landing Zones, subscription vending, and standardized resource deployment.

• Use Bicep and Azure Verified Modules (AVM) to automate infrastructure provisioning.

• Ensure consistency, scalability, and security across Azure environments.

DevOps & Infrastructure as Code

• Design, manage, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.

• Enforce CI/CD best practices, compliance, and security standards across environments.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on repository structure, branching, and release strategies.

Subscription Governance & Security

• Implement and manage Azure subscription governance including:

  • Management Groups

  • RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)

  • Azure Policies

  • Naming conventions and tagging standards

• Ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Act as the primary point of contact between application teams, security, networking, and leadership.

• Facilitate technical discussions, resolve blockers, and manage cross-team dependencies.

• Provide clear communication of status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.

Automation & Optimization

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using PowerShell and Bicep.

• Optimize Azure costs, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.

• Drive continuous improvement in cloud delivery and governance processes.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and migration runbooks.

• Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries.

• Ensure documentation aligns with enterprise standards and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

• 8-10 years of overall experience in technical project/program management

• 3+ years of hands-on experience leading Azure cloud migration initiatives

• Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Azure Landing Zones

• Advanced proficiency with Bicep for Infrastructure as Code

• Hands-on experience with Azure Verified Modules (AVM)

• Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines)

• Experience using Azure Migrate for assessments and migrations

Technical Skills
