Power BI Data Reporting Consultant

Description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Data Reporting Consultant to join our team on a contract basis in Geneseo, Illinois. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business intelligence and data visualization to create impactful dashboards and optimize existing data models. Your work will support the organization in effectively consuming and analyzing data to drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
Develop dynamic dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to present actionable insights.
Assess existing data models and implement optimizations to enhance performance and usability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Design and maintain operational and reporting dashboards to support business objectives.
Utilize Microsoft SQL to analyze and manage data effectively.
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports.
Provide recommendations on best practices for data reporting and visualization.
Work closely with teams to align reporting outputs with organizational goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and reporting systems.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard creation and data visualization.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL for data management and analysis.
Experience optimizing data models to improve efficiency and usability.
Familiarity with operational and reporting dashboards.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
