Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for a Houston-based organization. This is an ongoing contract opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule (onsite and remote). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported oil and gas environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
  • Configure, support, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, and threat prevention
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and security
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues in a timely manner
  • Support network upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh projects
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to support business initiatives
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
  • Follow best practices for network security, compliance, and change management


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Network Analyst or Network Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPN)
  • Proven experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network security concepts
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in production environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting oil and gas or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with hybrid or large-scale enterprise networks
  • Relevant certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, or networking/security certifications) a plus

Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule - combination of onsite and remote work
  • Houston, TX (local candidates preferred)
  • Ongoing contract with the potential for long-term extension
