Jenkins Migration Engineer
Location: McLean, VA (5 Days Onsite)
Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Jenkins Migration Engineer responsible for executing the migration of pipelines, jobs, and infrastructure from CloudBees Jenkins to Open-Source Jenkins. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute migration of Jenkins pipelines, jobs, and infrastructure from CloudBees to OSS Jenkins
Refactor and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines for performance, scalability, and stability
Implement and maintain Pipeline-as-Code frameworks and CI/CD best practices
Support DevOps tool migrations, source code migrations, and pipeline transitions
Automate migration-related tasks using scripting and tooling
Collaborate with teams to ensure minimal disruption and smooth transition during migration
Maintain and update pipeline configurations, tasks, and scripts
Provide recommendations for improving CI/CD pipelines and processes
Work with Kubernetes-based and containerized agents for CI/CD workloads
Document migration procedures, configurations, and best practices
Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience:
10 12 years of hands-on DevOps and CI/CD engineering experience
Strong expertise in Jenkins (Core & Plugins) and CloudBees Jenkins
Proven experience executing pipeline and infrastructure migrations
Strong experience with Pipeline development, refactoring, and operational stability
Experience in CI/CD automation, Pipeline-as-Code, and enterprise migration practices
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, YAML, JSON
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized build agents
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline configuration, task management, and scripting
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
