Summary

Schneider Electric is looking for a DevOps Engineer Co-Op to join our team in June 2026 in Andover, MA. This position will last 6-8 months. We are looking for a positive, self-motivated, passionate individual with a strong desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced design environment to help us develop next generation technologies. This individual will be able to grow with Fortune 500 experience, and work in the following areas:

What will you do?
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Manage source code repositories and workflows (Git, branching strategies, code reviews).
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field (Master's preferred).
  • C or C++ coding skills
  • Must have Python coding skills
  • Experience with version control
  • Basic familiarity with Agile development concepts/scrum
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Should understand embedded systems hardware/electronics.
  • Should have Linux experience.
  • Should have Operating systems class.
  • Should have networking class (Wireshark experience a plus)
  • Micro Services architecture
  • Should have virtualization experience (Oracle VM or VMWare)
  • Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) experience a plus
  • Artifacts Management
  • Agile development experience a plus
  • CI/CD - Microsoft Dev Ops a plus
  • Able to work from Andover, MA full-time starting June 2026. Please note- this position does not provide funding for relocation.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22 - $27 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs. The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
