Job Title: Infrastructure / Systems Engineer (MQ & Automation) Job ID: 26-00652 Location: Hybrid St. Paul, MN (Primary) or Hartford, CT Duration: 12 months on W2 contract

Hours: 8 AM 5 PM

We are seeking an Infrastructure / Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and messaging platforms. This role supports servers, virtualization, networking, storage, and middleware systems while ensuring reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement monitoring, automation, and configuration management solutions
Manage servers, VMs, networking, storage, and firewall infrastructure
Perform system maintenance, patching, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
Support incident response, change management, and disaster recovery planning
Create documentation and mentor junior team members
Provide occasional after-hours support and weekend maintenance

Required / Preferred Skills

Messaging platforms (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Amazon MQ)
API management tools (IBM DataPower, MuleSoft, or Amazon API Gateway)
Windows and Linux administration
Shell scripting (Bash or PowerShell)
Programming experience (Java, C#, .NET, Go, or C/C++)
Networking and web protocol knowledge (TCP, TLS, HTTP, AMQP)
Automation tools (Puppet, Terraform) and AWS cloud
Container platforms (Kubernetes)
General infrastructure experience (servers, storage, database, networking)

Nice to Have

4+ years IBM MQ engineering experience
2+ years C# programming.
