Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer Contractor to design, develop, and maintain high-performing, scalable, and enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and payment industry technology.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded context analysis, API development, event-driven architecture, containerization, and modern CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.

• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture to deployment and production support.

• Develop and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs using modern Java development practices.

• Apply 12-factor application principles and cloud-native design patterns.

• Implement Domain-Driven Design (DDD), including domain modeling and bounded context analysis.

• Build and support payment industry applications and integrations.

• Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• Work with Helm or Kustomize for container orchestration and deployment configuration.

• Implement event-driven architecture and messaging-based integration patterns.

• Support container-aware CI/CD pipelines and automation-first development practices.

• Apply infrastructure-as-code principles and collaborate with DevOps teams.

• Implement application observability, monitoring, and performance optimization using Dynatrace.

• Use Redis for caching and application performance improvements.

• Manage Maven dependencies, builds, and versioning effectively.

• Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in software engineering and Java application development.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Core Java and J2EE

  • Spring Framework and Spring Boot

  • Microservices architecture

  • RESTful APIs and API management tools

  • AWS cloud services

  • Payments industry technology

  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and bounded context analysis

  • 12-factor application principles

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• Knowledge of Helm and/or Kustomize.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with Maven and advanced dependency management.

• Familiarity with Redis and Dynatrace.

• Understanding of CI/CD engineering, infrastructure as code, and observability.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building cloud-native, high-availability enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of automated testing and automation-first development.

• Experience with application monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with secure API design and enterprise integration patterns.
