The City is seeking an IT Application Analyst to support the planning, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise business applications. This role works closely with city departments, vendors, and IT teams to ensure applications run reliably, meet business needs, and comply with security and data standards.

Note: This role will be onsite for up to the first six months, with opportunities to work a hybrid schedule thereafter.
POLICE BACKGROUND CHECK: To ensure employees in Information Technology Division uphold the integrity and security of City facilities and systems, job offers are extended contingent upon passing a background and employment investigation. This process includes completing a limited Personal History Statement (PHS) and may involve interviews with personal and professional acquaintances, a review of online/social media presence, and verification of employment history. Background checks include WACIC (Washington Crime Information Center) and NCIC/III (National Crime Information Center/ Interstate Identification Index) criminal history checks, Department of Licensing records, driving abstracts, and fingerprinting. A credit waiver may be required.
What will you do in this position?
- Collaborate with vendors on software upgrades and manage server and application side support to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support for HVAC, building automation, key card systems, fleet management, and backflow software.
- Manage application upgrades, apply patches, and perform version testing in controlled environments to maintain stability.
- Perform SQL (basic to intermediate) to query, validate, and report on application data, supporting system accuracy and business operations.
- Work with a variety of enterprise business applications, including ERP, finance, HR/payroll, permitting, utility billing, public safety, and document management systems.
- Oversee the software and hardware infrastructure needed to operate enterprise systems, including server monitoring and maintenance.
