Summary

Role: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Contract: W2 only

About the Role

We're seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with a strong background in enterprise network architecture, automation, and security. You ll be instrumental in driving scalable, resilient, and secure network infrastructure across our global footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks
  • Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Lead network automation initiatives using Python and tools like Ansible or Terraform
  • Administer firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and NAC tools
  • Collaborate with Cloud and Security teams to enable hybrid network connectivity (AWS/Azure)
  • Monitor network performance with tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to architecture reviews, and enforce best practices

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Expertise in Cisco/Juniper/HPE networking gear
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, NAT, ACLs
  • Experience with enterprise routing and switching
  • Network segmentation and traffic optimisation
  • Hands-on with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), VPNs (IPSec, SSL)
