Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Joule AI Solution Lead / Architect to design, govern, and implement AI-enabled enterprise solutions leveraging SAP Joule, SAP Business AI, SAP BTP, Joule Studio, Generative AI Hub, and Agentic AI frameworks. This individual will serve as both a strategic architect and hands-on technical lead, helping define AI architecture and roadmaps while leading developers through the implementation of Joule-powered solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring 12-15 years of experience, with a strong background architecting SAP BTP solutions within Manufacturing and/or Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences environments. This role requires the ability to bridge business transformation, AI innovation, regulatory requirements, and SAP technology while developing scalable AI solutions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
Define enterprise architecture and strategy for SAP Business AI, SAP Joule, and Agentic AI solutions.
Develop AI transformation roadmaps supporting SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Suite environments.
Design and implement SAP Joule-based business assistants and AI agents using Joule Studio and related SAP technologies.
Architect solutions utilizing SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, Joule Studio, and custom BTP agent frameworks.
Design multi-agent architectures capable of supporting end-to-end enterprise business workflows.
Define architecture and interaction patterns for transactional, analytical, conversational, and autonomous AI use cases.
Integrate Joule agents with SAP and non-SAP applications using SAP BTP services and APIs.
Establish enterprise AI reference architectures, technical standards, security models, and governance frameworks.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, foundation models, and Agentic AI capabilities and recommend appropriate technologies and methodologies for business use cases.
Drive adoption of SAP Joule as a conversational AI interface across SAP applications.
Ensure AI solutions align with ethical AI principles, data privacy requirements, and applicable Life Sciences regulatory requirements, including GxP and FDA considerations.
Provide hands-on architectural and technical leadership throughout solution design, development, and implementation.
Lead and provide technical direction to a team of developers, including design guidance, technical reviews, and development best practices.
Collaborate with business, functional, engineering, and technology stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions.

Required Qualifications
12-15 years of overall experience with a background in SAP solution architecture, including architecture of SAP BTP solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Joule and Joule Studio, including Joule-based application and agent development.
Deep understanding of Agentic AI architecture, including designing business agents and multi-agent enterprise solutions.
Experience with SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, SAP Business AI, and SAP S/4HANA environments.
Experience architecting and integrating AI solutions across both SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications.
Experience evaluating and selecting AI technologies, platforms, tools, and development methodologies.
Experience within Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, and/or Life Sciences environments.
Understanding of AI governance, security, data privacy, ethical AI principles, and regulated-environment considerations.
Cloud computing experience with platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Programming experience with Python, R, and/or Java, with familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to address complex enterprise business and technology challenges.
Strong communication, technical leadership, and team-management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining enterprise-scale AI transformation strategies and roadmaps.
Experience with foundation models and emerging Generative AI technologies.
Experience designing AI solutions within highly regulated Life Sciences environments.
Relevant SAP certifications, particularly in SAP BTP, SAP architecture, SAP Business AI, or related technologies.
