Summary

Job Title: Mainframe DB2/IMS Systems Programmer

Location: Plano, TX 12+ Months

Must Have Skills

  • Expertise in performing SMPE and Non SMPE Installation of ISV products)
  • Expertise in IBM and Client Software product Install and Upgrades
  • Mastery of DB2 and IMS Database management and utilities

Nice to have skills

  • DB2 V12 upgrades or later
  • IMS V15.5 upgrades or later

Job Description:

  • Installation Upgrades Installing new DB2 and IMS versions and applying maintenance.
  • Configuring DB2 and IMS subsystem parameters to optimize performance.
  • Utilizing DB2 and IMS tools to monitor database health and application objects.
  • Implementing DB2 and IMS security controls and collaborating with DBAs to manage application access.
  • Performing SOX audits on database objects to ensure compliance standards.
  • Coordinating with application and system teams to implement database enhancements.

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
