Job Description
We are seeking a Data Operations Technician to join our Product Data Operations team in Burlingame and Redmond to support obotics Studio data collection and annotation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hands-on AR/VR or robotics environments, large-scale data collection, and data annotation and a proven ability to follow complex protocols to generate accurate, high-quality datasets. This is a full-time, on-site contingent worker role managed by the Labs Project Manager. Multiple shifts are available.
Responsibilities:
- Operate prototype devices to collect high-quality data in lab and simulated environments.
- Follow detailed protocols to perform complex data collection tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Annotate and label collected data using internal tools and platforms.
- Participate in QA activities, reviewing and validating data for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with team members and project leads to orchestrate and optimize data collection sessions.
- Document procedures, issues, and findings.
- Adhere to all safety, privacy, and confidentiality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant hands-on technical setting.
- Experience with AR/VR devices, robotics, or similar lab environments.
- Scaled data collection experience with physical device research teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols.
- Comfort with repetitive tasks and ability to maintain focus and accuracy.
- Computer literacy, including running Python scripts and using data entry or annotation tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting technical errors.
- Intermediate experience with Python or Bash.
- Experience in prototest environments.

- Generate high-quality datasets by following strict procedural instructions.
