Robert Half (Technology Solutions) is searching for an Infrastructure Engineer with experience in M365, Entra ID, Intune, Cloud Networking (AWS/Azure), Endpoint Security (Proofpoint, Sophos, Purview), ITSM (ManageEngine), security frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS), etc. If this sounds like your background, then this Infrastructure Engineer role is for you. Positions: Infrastructure Engineer

Hours/Duration: 40 hrs/wk, M-F, PST Hours, CTH/FTE (3-6 Months to Convert)

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day administration of core Microsoft infrastructure, ensuring stable performance across a multi-location user environment.

Manage and support key enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Defender, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID, ManageEngine, and Proofpoint.

Provide hands-on support for server, directory, and identity services, including maintenance of Windows Server and Active Directory platforms.

Administer firewall configurations and deliver general network support to maintain connectivity, security, and operational continuity.

Collaborate with external technology partners to coordinate support activities, resolve infrastructure issues, and improve service delivery.

Monitor system health, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and user disruption.

Support cloud and hybrid environment operations involving Microsoft services and related infrastructure components.

Contribute to ongoing technical initiatives involving third-party vendors and enterprise systems as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in a Systems Engineer or similar infrastructure support role.
Strong background with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Windows Server in an enterprise environment.
Experience supporting Microsoft Defender, SharePoint, Intune, and Microsoft Exchange.
Knowledge of firewall administration and general network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Citrix technologies and hybrid cloud environments, including AWS.
Ability to work effectively with external vendors and managed service partners.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support users across multiple locations.
