IT Project Lead/Manager III

Location: Anchorage, Alaska (Onsite)

Length: 12 months

Role Overview

A skilled IT Project Manager is sought to play a key role in delivering high-impact IT and digital initiatives across Alaska. This position supports programs and projects spanning enterprise and local applications across petrochemical and business capabilities with a focus on value-driven planning, disciplined execution, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will partner with other project managers, business stakeholders, financial analysts, vendors, and IT delivery teams to advance strategic priorities and deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and track project plans, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and risks.
  • Prepare status reports for leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned to business goals and escalate risks as needed.
  • Support product owners and business analysts with business case development, stakeholder alignment, budget preparation, vendor and alternatives analysis, execution, governance, risk tracking, and OCM planning throughout the SDLC.
  • Support and advise on both agile and traditional project management practices as applicable, including the development of related artifacts.
  • Recommend appropriate project management tools and methodology (waterfall, agile, hybrid) based on project requirements.
  • Serve as scrum master for facilitating events, sprint planning, and execution.
  • Lead UAT administration including testing configuration, design, and execution.
  • Support the transition of projects to ongoing support, lead knowledge transfer, capture lessons learned, and complete close activities.
  • Support AFE preparation and other financial documentation.
  • Support budget development, forecasting, monthly estimates and cost submissions, and year-end close activities for programs and projects as assigned.
  • Support third-party project controls including budgeting, plan-forward activities, MSA renewals, service confirmations, and invoice tracking.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and provide light AV program coordination across various locations.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, Information Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5 or more years of experience in information technology, 2 or more years of experience in project management, and 2 or more years of experience building and tracking project budgets.

Skills: Legally authorized to work in the United States. Basic knowledge of SAFe Agile delivery and/or PMI principles.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in a related technical field.
  • PMP certification.
  • SAFe Scrum Master or other scrum master certification.
  • Experience with applications such as S/4HANA, PIMS, GEP, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
