Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle/MySQL Database Administrator with deep AWS migration expertise. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS using AWS DMS, AWS SCT, and modern cloud-native practices.

This role requires strong technical leadership, deep database knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, cloud, and project teams to deliver seamless, low‑downtime migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute Oracle-to-AWS database migration strategies.
• Assess existing Oracle/MySQL environments and define tailored migration roadmaps.
• Use AWS DMS and AWS SCT to convert schemas, migrate data, and validate compatibility.
• Collaborate with developers, cloud architects, and project managers to ensure successful migration delivery.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Develop best practices, documentation, and training materials for cloud migration processes.
• Stay current with AWS services, Oracle technologies, and cloud migration trends.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience (architecture, tuning, troubleshooting).
• Proven experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS.
• Strong expertise with:

• AWS DMS (Database Migration Service)
• AWS SCT (Schema Conversion Tool)
• AWS cloud services

• Solid understanding of Oracle database internals, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation.
• Experience with Terraform (IaC) and AWS Lambda.
• Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
