Opportunity Overview

Team Overview:
The Planning & Performance Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst III. We are responsible for the Division's continuous planning & performance, ensuring clear and actionable processes and monitoring exists to support Firm Priorities and run the core of Operations with excellence.

What You'll Do:
As an Analyst, you'll work through issues that typically arise daily with varying degrees of complexity. You'll Identify what data is needed, then analyze and interpret the results for business owners & leaders in a clear concise manner. The Analyst will be asked to assist with the implementation of agreed upon solutions as well as ensure proper understanding within affected business area, so the ability to collaborate well with associates and leadership within the department (and potentially firm leadership and/or external vendors) is necessary.
Here are a few of the Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and monitoring of divisional key measures. Ability to communicate results to senior leaders.
  • Ability to create, conceptualize develop custom reporting and dashboards in support of Firm initiatives/programs and/or provide feedback on reports created by other associates. Solicit business requirements and determine data requirements
  • Independently generate and incorporate insights into a cohesive story that clearly addresses business questions.
  • Effectively communicate with business partners and non- technical audience regarding analytic ideas, approach, key takeaways and actionable insights.
  • Analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights. Includes advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and data modeling.
  • Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive -level management across the organization
  • Serve as a functional and technical business intelligence subject matter expert

Position Requirements

What Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science, engineering, analytics (or relevant work experience), Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with advanced analysis skills and forecasting capabilities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and data concepts and communicate effectively to executive leadership
  • Advance proficiency using visualization or BI software, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required including working ability to utilize pivot tables, advanced charting, VBA, advanced formulas, and conditional formatting
  • Advanced project management skills and experience with relational and dimensional database architectures
  • Advanced ability to extract and analyze large amounts of data using SQL, BI solution or other various tools
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**

Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.

Salary Information

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program.
