Cable Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Cable Technician to support large-scale low-voltage cabling projects, including a long-term new construction project in downtown Nashville. This role will primarily work on active construction job sites. The technician may work independently or lead a small team of helpers depending on project needs.
This position is hands-on and focused on structured cabling installation. Candidates will receive daily direction from an onsite lead and have the opportunity to further develop skills within the low-voltage industry.

Responsibilities

• Install cable pathways including tray systems, J-hooks, and supports
• Pull and route Cat6+ and fiber optic cabling
• Terminate faceplates, jacks, and structured cabling components
• Read and follow basic prints and installation plans
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Lead or assist helpers as needed to complete project tasks
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant job sites

Required Skills

• Structured cabling and cable installation
• Cat6 cabling and cable pulling
• Low-voltage installation experience
• Familiarity with hand tools, drills, and construction equipment

Additional Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Timely, dependable, and self-motivated
• Construction, electrical, or low-voltage experience preferred

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
