Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Irving, TX. This is a 24 month contract opportunity. In this role, you will accelerate the build and delivery of the enterprise automation framework, with a critical mandate to transform the current VPN and Proxy technology landscape into a unified, standardized ZTNA architecture. This position has an emphasis on hands-on engineering, rapid execution, and measurable outcomes that materially reduce operational burden on Technology teams through automation of software lifecycle and operations functions for Proxy, Firewall and Network Access Control (NAC).
Responsibilities: - Design a unified Network Security automation architecture that standardizes networking, security services, and automation behaviors across Palo Alto Firewall, Fortinet Firewall, and Broadcom Cloud proxy services
- Implement fully automated software lifecycle workflows and standard changes workflows
- Design and implement stateful, fault tolerant workflows using Temporal / ORCA
- Extend and integrate Nautobot as the authoritative source of intent and state
- Implement CI pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Design and execute Ansible based operational automation for Branch environments
- Expose automation services through Apigee and instrument workflows using Grafana and/or Prometheus
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering
Requirements: - 5 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent
- Senior level hands on experience with Python
- Extensive experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong hands-on operational automation experience using Ansible
- Deep familiarity with Proxy and Firewalls technologies, including integration with Palo Alto Firewall, Fortinet Firewall, and Broadcom Cloud proxy services
- Hands on experience designing, implementing, and automating security controls and policy management across the firewall and proxy environments
- Ability to deliver independently in complex enterprise environments
Desired skills: - Strong exposure to AI assisted engineering or AI driven automation workflows
- Proven delivery of stateful workflow orchestration (Temporal / ORCA or similar)
Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
