Join the team as an Application Developer, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of a sophisticated financial application. You will be responsible for managing the entire development lifecycle, from understanding complex business needs to delivering seamless user interfaces and optimized software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze and interpret detailed business requirements within a complex financial system.
  • Design, develop, and enhance web-based applications using ColdFusion, ensuring high accessibility and performance standards.
  • Modify existing software components, templates, and interfaces to improve functionality, address errors, or adapt to new hardware environments.
  • Lead or participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and application specifications.
  • Conduct thorough unit testing and debugging of developed features to guarantee quality and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical solutions and development activities for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into application design and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Proven proficiency in ColdFusion development, with substantial experience designing and maintaining large-scale applications.
  • Strong understanding of accessible web design principles and front-end technologies, particularly JavaScript frameworks like jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools such as Git and SourceTree.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Familiarity with Jira for project management and issue tracking.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API architecture for seamless integration.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Understanding of SAML authentication protocols.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
     
Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $55.00 USD Hourly
