Summary
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale mainframe database applications in a distributed development environment.
- Exposure to migrating large-scale mainframe applications to distributed systems.
- Experience using AI solutions in mainframe migration projects.
- Develop technical designs to convert business requirements into application workflows using COBOL.
- Work with mainframe databases including IMS, DB2, VSAM, and/or IDMS.
- Experience with CICS or IBM Assembler.
- Participate in business value assessment and business requirements elaboration.
- Perform detailed design for workflows, business rules, user interfaces, and reports.
- Coordinate unit testing and integration testing with the development team.
- Collaborate with the testing team on defect fixing.
- Design and code database applications based on specifications.
- Follow company coding standards and develop applications with minimal maintenance requirements.
- Perform maintenance and enhancements to existing applications.
- Work with end users on application design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Apply Mainframe System Architecture principles.
- Exposure to Generative AI and Agentic AI.
