Position: SAP Tester (Greenfield Implementation)
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6+ months
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Tester with a strong background in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes for a Greenfield S/4HANA implementation. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of an SAP system built from the ground up, validating new business processes, and ensuring seamless integration with other modules and legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing: Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios for O2C processes, including Sales Order Management, Pricing and Billing, Delivery and Shipping, Credit Management, and Returns.
Greenfield Lifecycle Support: Participate in all implementation phases (Discover, Explore, Realize, Deploy) as per the SAP Activate methodology.
Process Validation: Verify "Fit-to-Standard" configurations and custom WRICEF (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects developed from scratch.
Data Migration Testing: Validate the integrity of migrated master data (customers, materials) and open items from legacy systems into the new S/4HANA environment.
Multi-Level Testing: Lead and execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
Defect Management: Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or HP ALM.
Integration Oversight: Test touchpoints between O2C and other modules such as FICO (AR), MM, and EWM to ensure a seamless "clean core" architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in SAP Testing, with at least one full-cycle Greenfield implementation.
O2C Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and its integration with Finance (AR/Billing) and Logistics.
Methodology: Proven experience working with SAP Activate or Agile deployment frameworks.
Technical Tools: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, Jira) and exposure to automation tools (e.g., Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, or CBTA).
Industry Focus: Experience in complex manufacturing, retail, or FMCG sectors is highly preferred.
Communication: Strong ability to collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders during requirement analysis.
