Senior Information Security Engineer

The Information Security Engineer is responsible for engineering, implementation, configuration and monitor security for the bank’s network, applications and systems.  The design and implementation of proper security protection for all of the bank’s technology assets The Information Security Engineer will design information security architecture and continuously monitor and provide reporting on controls as required. Monitor all technology systems for violations of bank’s security policy and standards and take necessary actions to detect and report further violations.  Information Security Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring and supporting the security monitoring and compliance systems.

All management and supervisory duties as Information Security Officer’s backup

JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Configure Manage, Monitor Security tools and System for the Bank.
2.    Assist in defining, creating and implementing banks Information Security Policy/Standards.
3.    Work under ISO’s supervision to define and implement Information Security Program Strategy.
4.    Install and configures and administers Information Security technologies intended to protect the bank’s digital assets from internal and external threats.
5.    Monitors all Information Security related systems intended to provide incident reporting.
6.    Responsible for Identity and Access Management under ISO’s supervision and strategy.
7.    Works with internal and external auditors. 
8.    Review and approval of the system/network configuration changes, system patches and updates according to the Banks procedures. 
9.    Review of compliance with the information security policy and standards.
10.    Provides periodic reporting on information security issues and gaps 
11.    Interfaces with external contacts and third parties  
12.    Performs all Information Security related functions as assigned by ISO 
13.    Provide high quality work by ensuring accuracy and seeking to continuously improve Information Security processes by embracing new and better ways of doing things.

REQUIREMENTS

1.    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 
2.    Strong IP, network, Microsoft Windows, Linux, UNIX, Middleware experience and knowledge.
3.    Ability to investigate and respond to Information Security Incidents, Threats and Vulnerabilities.
4.    Seven to 10 years’ experience in Information Security and Engineering of Security tools
5.    Strong understanding, configuration and monitoring knowledge of IAM tool 
6.    Use of IAM, Nessus, Qualys or similar security tools
7.    Knowledge of IDS/IPS and Firewall infrastructure 
8.    CISA, CISM, CEH type of certifications are plus
