Job DescriptionYou will be the Software Quality Engineer (SSQE) for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance air and missile defense, air-to-air, precision fires, and other advanced systems for warfighting and civilian customers.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Software Quality Engineer (SSQE) you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical software through rigorous testing and quality processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software releases.
- Automate test procedures and frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects.
- Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Maintain documentation of test results, metrics, and compliance with aerospace standards.

Basic Qualifications-Technical Engineering degree preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
-Experience with product development phases
-Basic knowledge of audit principles and techniques
-Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design / Development, Product Integration and Test, with experience using causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
-Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issue
-Experience interpreting software design and code (ADA / C / C++) to verify implementation of requirements
-Hands-on experience with Agile Methodologies
(SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
-Lab/Test Equipment Hardware knowledge or background skills
-Ability to Travel
Desired skills-Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and Gitlab.
-Familiar with automated test system platforms (NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW, SystemLink).
-Basic understanding of electro-mechanical engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with the ability to inspect drawings for compliance.
-Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
-Experience with presentation & problem solving
skills
-Experience with Government customers
-Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)
-Experience with verification and validation processes
-Different program phase experience (development, production, sustainment)
-Corrective Action Board (Process, Command Media, corrective action , preventive action, Root Cause Analysis)
-SAP - Handling and Dispositioning Nonconformances
-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
