Leidos Low Band System (LBS) program is seeking a talented Hydraulic and Mechanical Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and test of hydraulic components and systems. LBS is a large, multi-phase radar program with concurrent development, test, production, and sustainment activities.

As a member of the design team, you will be responsible for supporting and leading design, integration, and testing of components (hydraulic power units, cylinders, manifolds, piping, hoses, and controls) and hydraulic systems on both the transportable single panel demonstrator and a large stationary antenna array. This person will be responsible for hydraulic system architecture, component and system trades, bill of material development, specifications, 3D CAD modeling of hydraulic components and supporting structure, fabrication and integration drawings, hydraulic test planning and procedures, and hands-on integration and test support. Additionally, the hydraulic subsystem lead engineer may support mechanical and thermal system tasks as needed.

This role requires a seasoned technical contributor and leader, proficient in applying technical principles, theories, and concepts in hydraulics engineering, thermal management, structural design, and technical leadership. You will be responsible for developing and proving out solutions to technical problems and issues that may be difficult or unclear while collaborating with other members of the design, hydraulic, structural, and thermal analysis teams. This person must take ownership of the hydraulic system including meeting technical requirements, adhering to aggressive schedules, and supporting project cost objectives.

This is not your average engineering position. You will work on a team of the most talented engineers in the region who push you to be better every day. This is a fast-paced program with unique technical challenges that will be a rewarding milestone in any engineering career.

If you are up for the challenge of joining this team, then apply today to be considered!
