Datacenter Technician (Level 2)Location: On-site

Shift; transitioning to 4x10 schedule (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat; day or swing shift)
OverviewThis long-term Datacenter Technician (Level 2) role supports
the buildout and ongoing operations of NVIDIA production datacenters, including
racks, bench-testing areas, and other critical infrastructure. The ideal
candidate brings strong hands-on datacenter operations experience, advanced
break/fix troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with
network teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLevel 2 Datacenter Operations- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and isolate server issues using Linux-based tools and logical break/fix methodologies.
- Order, replace, and install server components; return defective parts to vendors.
- Perform firmware updates to ensure servers are running the latest versions.
- Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
- Support network administrators with tasks such as:
- Replacing damaged or broken cables
- Re-routing cables to alternate ports
- Replacing optics on server and switch ports
- Installing upgraded server components
- Temporarily rack, stack, and cable servers or switches to enable remote configuration by network teams.
- Provide targeted assistance to network admins requesting hands-on support.
- Perform Level 1 duties as needed, including rack/stack and deployment support.
Required Skills & Experience- 2-3 years of hands-on Datacenter Technician experience
- Strong ability to independently troubleshoot and isolate server issues using Linux.
- Experience with rack/stack, server configuration, and datacenter hardware installation.
- Proficiency with cabling, wiring, and physical infrastructure tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with network teams.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
