Datacenter Operations Technician - This long-term datacenter operations role supports the buildout and ongoing maintenance of large-scale production environments, including server
racks, test benches, and core datacenter infrastructure. The position begins on a standard Monday-Friday day shift, with a transition to a 410 schedule
(Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat), which may include day or swing hours.
Role OverviewDatacenter Technician is responsible for hands-on break/fix, hardware lifecycle work, and environment support within high-density datacenter environments. This role requires strong independent troubleshooting abilities, hardware repair experience, and comfort working with both servers and networking equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide variety of server hardware issues and accurately isolate root causes.
- Install replacement components, validate successful repair, and manage return of defective parts.
- Perform firmware updates to ensure servers meet current operational standards.
- Configure network settings such as IP addressing and default credentials during system provisioning.
- Collaborate with network teams to resolve connectivity issues, including cable replacement, cable rerouting, optic swaps, and hardware upgrades on servers and switches.
- Rack, stack, and cable servers or switches to enable remote configuration and deployment by administrative teams.
- Provide targeted assistance when network administrators request hands-on support for physical infrastructure tasks.
- Support deployment activities as needed, including general rack/stack and installation tasks.

- Cat6 and fiber installation/handling
- Understanding of Linux for logical troubleshooting (not remote-guided)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Additional ExpectationsCandidates must be comfortable performing both Level 2 troubleshooting and physical deployment work. The role requires true hands-on break/fix experience-not remote hands or ticket-guided troubleshooting.
Experience LevelEntry to mid-level, with demonstrated capability in datacenter hardware diagnostics and repair.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
