Director of Data Strategy & Operations

We are seeking an experienced a Director of Data Strategy and Operations. This role leads the development and execution of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide data strategy, overseeing governance, quality, privacy compliance, analytics capabilities, and modern data architecture.

• This role is hybrid in Clearwater, FL OR Remote with monthly travel to Clearwater, FL

Responsibilities:

• Defines and executes a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Leads cross-functional data initiatives, partnering with business and technology leaders to drive value through data.
• Develops a roadmap for data capabilities, including governance, analytics, architecture, and tooling.
• Establishes and oversees data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Champions data quality initiatives and drives the adoption of data stewardship across departments.
• Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies.
• Builds and leads a high-performing data operations team responsible for metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and MDM (Master Data Management).
• Oversees the development and management of KPIs to monitor data usage, health, and integrity.
• Drives operational efficiency through process automation, data integration, and tooling improvements.
• Collaborates with IT and engineering teams to define and maintain scalable data infrastructure and architecture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or data operations
• 3 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading enterprise data strategy initiatives.
• Certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DGSP (Data Governance & Stewardship Professional)
