Job Title: Project Management - Project Manager III
About the Team
The 1P Retail team builds and operates Meta''s physical retail presence β the Meta Lab stores β where consumers experience our hardware and AI products firsthand. Our Retail Technology & Innovation function owns the systems, tools, and emerging technology that power these stores: from point-of-sale and CRM infrastructure to AI-driven customer experiences and next-generation in-store demos. We sit at the intersection of consumer hardware, artificial intelligence, and physical retail β designing the technology layer that shapes how people Client and connect with Meta products in person.
The Role
We''re looking for a Project Manager to lead technology and innovation initiatives across our retail footprint. You''ll own the delivery of projects that span retail systems implementation, AI-powered customer experiences, and customer journey design β translating strategic intent into shipped outcomes in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
This is a hands-on execution role with real breadth. One week you might be driving a POS system rollout; the next, coordinating the deployment of an AI-powered in-store experience. You''ll operate with high autonomy, interfacing closely with our Retail Operations partners while owning the technology workstreams end-to-end.
The ideal candidate has a bias for action, can context-switch across technical and non-technical workstreams, and brings a structured approach to managing complexity.
Responsibilities
Lead and deliver cross-functional technology projects through full lifecycle β from scoping and planning through implementation and launch.
Drive the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of retail systems including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demo technologies.
Manage AI implementation initiatives within retail, including AI-powered customer experiences and AI-driven store operations optimization.
Own retail customer journey design projects β mapping, improving, and innovating how customers interact with technology across the store experience.
Translate complex technical requirements into clear action plans, serving as the bridge between engineering, product, and retail stakeholders.
Partner cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems & Product, Retail Design & Implementation, Retail Finance, and Product Management to drive seamless execution.
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers β escalating with solutions, not just problems.
Curate and present project status, risks, and progress to leadership with clarity and precision.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree.
5+ years of experience in project or program management within a technology, consumer electronics, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) retail, or ultra-premium hotelier environment.
Demonstrated experience managing technology implementation projects (e.g., system rollouts, platform migrations, or technology-driven process transformations).
Proven competence with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or equivalent) and productivity suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
Track record of taking defined business strategy and driving it through execution to final delivery.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with retail technology systems (POS, ERP, CRM, AV, or in-store demo platforms).
Exposure to AI/ML product implementation or technology innovation projects.
Background in retail operations or strong working knowledge of retail operational processes (SOPs, store workflows, frontline communications).
MBA or advanced degree.
PMP, Agile, or equivalent project/program management certification.
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools in daily work to boost personal and team productivity.
Experience creating store-team-facing communications (e.g., briefings, FAQs, playbooks).
