Summary

We are seeking a driven and professional Sr. Manager, Head of IT to lead the technology operations of a newly combined service company built through multiple recent acquisitions. This role will be the company's first dedicated in-house IT leader (currently use MSPs and private-equity firm resources), and will be responsible for consolidating and optimizing IT infrastructure and vendor partnerships across all business units. This role will also support the current ERP implementation, as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Vendor Oversight & Optimization
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for managed service providers (MSPs) supporting infrastructure, end-user computing, applications, and security.
    • With support from leadership, negotiate and manage vendor contracts to improve service quality and reduce costs.
    • Monitor service delivery, ensuring accountability and performance metrics are met.
  • Technology Roadmap & Governance
    • Develop, communicate, and execute the IT roadmap aligned with company strategy.
    • Establish IT processes, policies, and procedures to standardize operations across the newly integrated organization.
    • Partner with leadership to prioritize and deliver IT initiatives.
  • Infrastructure, Security & Project Management
    • Oversee infrastructure health across servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and cloud services.
    • Ensure cybersecurity practices are embedded in daily operations and vendor management.
    • Lead efforts to consolidate email, collaboration, and infrastructure environments following acquisitions.
  • End User & Business Application Support
    • Provide escalation support for end-user technology needs (primarily via MSPs).
    • Ensure effective support for business applications, including ERP and industry-specific systems.
    • Work with HR and Finance to promote and monitor user training, adoption, and satisfaction.
  • Leadership & Relationship Management
    • Act as a trusted partner to the executive team and a liaison between IT and business stakeholders.
    • Build strong relationships across the organization, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and clear communication.
    • Provide leadership in integrating acquired companies into standard Microsoft infrastructure.
