Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure in Bloomington, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting network systems while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN/WLAN network infrastructure
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security
Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis
Support network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
Implement network security best practices and policies
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures
Collaborate with systems, security, and application teams
Participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed
Required Skills:
Strong experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, ASA/Firepower)
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF
Experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar)
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Knowledge of network security principles
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with wireless technologies (Cisco, Aruba, etc.)
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with SD-WAN
Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell)
Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
