Summary

Overview

VTG is seeking an Application Developer, responsible for project solution development and execution, operations, client engagement and performance of Supply Chain projects enabled by digital capabilities. This developer will work closely with a U.S. DoD client in a hybrid environment, preferably based in Albany, GA. The role will lead solution design for vKesi development, clarify requirements, define data flows, and deliver secure, high-performance Power BI dashboards end-to-end-including data modeling, DAX measures, report UX, and performance tuning. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office tools, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting. Experience in DoD or federal programs and familiarity with RMF/NIST security practices is highly preferred.

What will you do?

  • Lead solution design for vKesi features: clarify requirements, propose architecture, define data flows, and plan delivery.
  • Design and deliver Power BI dashboards end-to-end: data modeling, DAX measures, report UX, performance tuning.
  • Experience integrating data from common sources (SQL databases, APIs, Excel/SharePoint, cloud storage)
  • Build and manage data pipelines (or coordinate with data engineering): ingestion, transformation, refresh schedules.
  • Produce documentation: architecture diagrams, dataset definitions, and report specs.
  • Contribute to documentation required for Risk Management Framework (RMF) alignment and auditability

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
  • ship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years' related experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Quality or Software Engineering services industry with demonstrated project performance.
  • Exposure to Agile development practices and tools such as Jira, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project
  • Manage technical design for business application solutions that span modules, integrations, workflows, reporting, and cloud capabilities, with awareness across the entire lifecycle from design to support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; thorough, clear, and timely oral and written communications; Ability to make formal presentations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience integrating and transforming data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, Excel/SharePoint, cloud storage) and establishing reliable data pipelines
  • Understanding of supply chain, logistics, or risk modeling concepts
  • Experience working in or supporting DoD or federal programs
  • Familiarity with security practices aligned to RMF or National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) frameworks
