Network Support TechnicianThe Network Support Technician is responsible for handling support tickets from multiple sites, diagnosing network issues, and guiding on-site personnel through troubleshooting steps. This role focuses on resolving connectivity problems, supporting network hardware, and escalating complex issues when necessary. The position requires strong communication skills, solid foundational networking knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced support environment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to network-related support tickets and provide timely, accurate troubleshooting.
- Perform basic network diagnostics such as connectivity checks and path testing.
- Access and review switch configurations, verify port status, and assist with switch-level troubleshooting.
- Guide on-site staff through equipment resets and basic remediation steps.
- Investigate and resolve connection issues involving access points or related network devices.
- Document all troubleshooting steps, findings, and resolutions in the appropriate systems.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to network teams as needed.
- Communicate clearly with local site contacts to ensure issues are understood and resolved.
- Maintain awareness of network performance trends and recurring issues.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on network connectivity and hardware support.
- Ability to diagnose issues involving switches, routers, and access points.
- Experience supporting end users or site contacts remotely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to walk non-technical users through technical steps.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tickets simultaneously.
Preferred Experience- Familiarity with enterprise-level networking environments.
- Experience with cloud-managed or software-defined networking platforms.
- Exposure to multiple network hardware vendors.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
