Main Sail LLC is seeking an experienced SAP Data Conversion Specialist (ABAP / LSMW) to validate, execute, and support SAP data loads required for shop floor deployment within a large, regulated commercial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing inherited data conversion programs, ensuring manufacturing master data is accurate and complete, and supporting testing, cutover, and go-live activities. The Data Conversion Specialist will work closely with SAP functional and technical leads to ensure data integrity across manufacturing structures and production execution.
Responsibilities
- Validate, execute, and remediate existing SAP data load programs supporting manufacturing deployment
- Support ABAP and SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)-based data loads
- Execute data loads for manufacturing master and transactional structures, including:
- Material master
- Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Routings and production versions
- Production structures and related dependencies
- Produce reconciliation reports and validation extracts to confirm data completeness and accuracy
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live data activities, including work-in-process (WIP) loads
- Coordinate data timing and sequencing with SAP Functional Leads and the Project Manager
- Identify data quality issues, conversion defects, and structural gaps, driving timely remediation
- Document data conversion procedures, validation steps, and execution results
- Support cutover planning and execution activities related to data readiness
Required Experience
- 8+ years of SAP data conversion experience
- Strong ABAP and SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) expertise
- Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing master data conversions
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and go-live data activities
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and documentation skills
Preferred Additional Experience (Nice to Have - Not Mandatory)
- SAP ECC shop floor manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting production execution or labor-related data
- Regulated or audit-sensitive manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting phased or restart SAP implementations
