Summary

Job Title: Engineering Project Manager III
Duration: 12+ months (W2 Only)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite Role)

Position Summary

This individual leads various project teams within the Engineering department. His/her main responsibility is to lead project teams to deliver defined objectives. This individual develops project plans, sets schedules, makes technical decisions as necessary, provides status reports, and ensures all project documentation is completed in accordance with client's Quality System.

This individual is expected to work and communicate well with team members, other departments, and Executive Management to meet the goals of assigned projects.

Primary Duties

1. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

2. Develops and maintains project plans for moderate complexity projects, including scheduling and milestones.

3. Works with Engineering management to allocate resources for projects.

4. Provides recurring project updates to stakeholders, Management and other departments.

5. Manage project teams in executing project plans:

o Manage communication channels between project team and other departments.

o Manages roles and responsibilities of team members to ensure all team members understand their role and the interdependencies within the project team.

o Motivates team members and promotes high morale team environment.

6. Ensures projects are developed to client's design control processes.

7. Maintains project Design History File and ensures all documentation meets project and team needs.

8. Provides technical oversight of projects and makes technical decisions as necessary.

Supplemental Information

This position does not have any directly reporting employees.

The position requires supervising team members to ensure project work is completed on schedule and at acceptable quality levels.

Teams may include Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Firmware Engineers.

This position includes managing projects of difficult scope and complexity.

Minimal travel may be required.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor s degree or higher required in Engineering or Management.

Project Management certification preferred.

Experience

Required

4 years of experience in project management and/or engineering

Preferred

Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
