NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Core Java and UI Developer Expert to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java and modern UI technologies.
· Build scalable backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and microservices-based architecture patterns.
· Develop responsive, reusable, and high-performing user interfaces using React.js, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
· Integrate UI components with backend services and APIs, ensuring reliable data flow, error handling, security, and performance.
· Apply object-oriented design principles, design patterns, multithreading/concurrency concepts, collections, exception handling, and performance tuning in Java solutions.
· Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, estimation, sprint planning, and solution discussions with engineering and product teams.
· Write clean, maintainable, testable, and secure code with appropriate unit, integration, and UI automation coverage.
· Troubleshoot complex application and production issues across UI, API, service, and database layers and drive root-cause resolution.
· Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, code-quality checks, release processes, and deployment readiness.
· Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers in an Agile delivery model.
· Work on-site 3 days per week at the assigned Atlanta, New Jersey, or Dallas office to support team collaboration and Agile ceremonies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Minimum Experience)
· Minimum 8+ years of overall software application development experience.
· Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Core Java development experience, including Java 8+ features, collections, concurrency/multithreading, exception handling, JVM fundamentals, and object-oriented design.
· Minimum 4+ years of hands-on UI/front-end development experience using React.js and/or Angular with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
· Minimum 4+ years of experience developing enterprise backend services using Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
· Minimum 3+ years of experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and distributed backend services.
· Minimum 3+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL; experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
· Minimum 3+ years of experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, unit testing, and code-quality practices.
· Strong understanding of application security, authentication/authorization, secure coding practices, and production-grade error handling.
· Demonstrated experience with performance optimization, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support for enterprise applications.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating across architecture, engineering, QA, and product functions.
· Ability and willingness to work on-site 3 days per week in Atlanta, New Jersey, or Dallas (mandatory).
Degree
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
Nice to Have (But Not a Must)
· Experience in banking, payments, financial services, or another regulated enterprise environment.
· Cloud development experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Experience with messaging/event-driven platforms such as Kafka or similar technologies.
· Knowledge of UI state-management frameworks, component libraries, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization.
· Experience with observability and monitoring tools and supporting highly available, transaction-intensive applications.
· Technical leadership, mentoring, or lead-developer experience across distributed onshore/offshore teams.
