As a Senior Specialist in Software Engineering reporting to Sr. Director of Software Engineering, you'll design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend services that power Nasdaq's mission-critical technology platforms. You'll work with modern cloud infrastructure to build scalable, secure solutions that meet the evolving needs of global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend services and serverless applications using modern cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
- Develop, implement, and support applications with .NET Core and React (or other modern JavaScript frameworks) on AWS, using serverless technologies.
- Develop RESTful APIs following best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to migrate legacy systems into cloud-native patterns and improve system reliability.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code with attention to scalability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development and cloud technologies.
- Strong experience building and deploying serverless applications and microservices.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and produce clear technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications - Advanced degree or specialized certifications in relevant technical disciplines.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
- Background in system architecture, database design, and performance optimization.

The base pay range for this role is $107,000 - $198,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual boncommission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
