Environmental Data & GIS Analyst | Remote

Position: Environmental Engineer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $59 $114/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design or oversee systems and processes to manage environmental impacts across water, air, and soil.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for land use and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address remediation, compliance, and sustainability challenges.
• Advise organizations and agencies on regulatory procedures and environmental best practices.
• Develop and document project objectives, analyses, and progress reports.
• Use advanced modeling, CAD, and GIS tools to analyze and visualize environmental data.
• Contribute subject matter expertise to train and refine AI-driven environmental engineering tools.

Requirements

• Proficiency with environmental modeling tools such as MIKE SHE, MODFLOW, Eko, and ESRI ArcGIS/ArcView.
• Experience with analytical software including S-PLUS and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials management, greenhouse gas tracking systems, and compliance management platforms.
• Strong skills in CAD and GIS tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CADD systems.
• Familiarity with MSDS standards and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
