Senior Cloud Architect

Gejits Infotech Inc needs a Senior Cloud Architect with minimum 12 + Years extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing highly available cloud architectures in AWS and Azure environments to join our direct state client at Tallahassee, Florida. This role will drive multi-cloud architecture, governance, migrations, cloud-native modernization, compliance (HIPAA/NIST), and enterprise enablement, including establishing a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and implementing FINOps practices.

Duration: Long Term. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, highly available architectures in AWS ,Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

• Lead on-premises to cloud migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices.

• Build and maintain cloud governance frameworks (security, compliance, cost optimization, resource management).

• Implement cloud-native solutions including containers (Kubernetes/Docker) and serverless architectures.

• Configure and optimize cloud networking, IAM, logging, monitoring, and observability.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and applicable security/regulatory standards.

• Partner with development, security, and operations teams to integrate DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies, and support testing/validation.

• Establish and lead a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) to define cloud strategy, standards, and best practices.

• Advise and implement FINOps for forecasting, budgeting, and cloud cost optimization.

• Develop training, documentation, and enablement programs to build internal cloud competency.

• Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements for performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 4+ years in cloud architecture roles.

• Strong expertise in AWS and Azure, including multi-cloud strategy and implementation.

• Proven experience establishing or operating a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).

• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless architectures.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Experience implementing FINOps practices (budgeting, forecasting, cost controls).

• AWS and Azure certifications are required (Associate or Professional level).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience supporting healthcare data environments and regulated workloads.

• Familiarity with security tooling, cloud posture management, and enterprise monitoring platforms.

• Experience with landing zone design, guardrails, and enterprise identity integrations.
