Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Software Engineer to join the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Simulation (IAMDSIM) software development team. The IAMDSIM software development team works on software for the full lifecycle of the simulation. As required, provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs. May provide work leadership for lower level employees. Some travel (<10%) may be required for this position.

As a Mid-Level Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Software Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Participate in training of AI models.
• Integrate AI/ML models into IAMDSIM.
• Development of various pre and post processing tools to better work with and analyze the data generated by IAMDSIM in order to validate models.
• Support analysis post processing library development in Python.

Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 5 years applicable software design and AI/ML engineering experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Linux.
• Basic understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns.
• Experience using version control systems (Git, Gitlab).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and as an individual.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Active Secret Clearance.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Cutting edge AI/ML and Data Science solutions experience.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns.
• Basic understanding of kinematics.
• Experience with containerization software (docker and/or podman).
• Familiarity with Python data science and plotting libraries (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, plotly, bokeh).
