Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong TypeScript development skills to support a critical Automation and Workflow initiative for our client.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications and automation solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This resource will collaborate with the existing AWS and Automation/Workflow teams to provide additional technical expertise, accelerate project delivery, and address development challenges.
This is initially a limited-duration engagement supporting a high-priority business initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS and TypeScript.
- Develop and enhance serverless applications and automation workflows.
- Collaborate with AWS engineers, developers, and the Automation/Workflow team to deliver project requirements.
- Build, deploy, and troubleshoot AWS services and cloud-based solutions.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable TypeScript code.
- Implement and integrate REST APIs and event-driven applications.
- Assist with debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
- Follow cloud security best practices and development standards.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve development bottlenecks and meet project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Node.js backend development.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, and SQS/SNS.
- Experience building workflow automation and orchestration solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Experience with DynamoDB or other AWS database services.
- Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Experience implementing cloud monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
- AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should be comfortable working within an established technical team and supporting business-critical development initiatives under tight timelines.
