Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain robust Google Cloud infrastructure, manage enterprise project governance, and ensure optimal security, performance, and cost-efficiency for critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Automation: Provision and manage Google Cloud Platform resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Identity & Access Management (IAM): Enforce least-privilege principles by configuring fine-grained IAM roles, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity Federation.
Networking & Security: Design and maintain VPC architectures, Shared VPCs, Firewall Rules, Cloud VPN/Interconnects, and VPC Service Controls.
Compute & Containerization: Deploy, manage, and scale workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and Compute Engine VMs.
CI/CD & DevOps: Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Observability & Governance: Implement Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and FinOps practices (budgeting, cost optimization, and auditing).
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise Google Cloud environments.
Core Tools: Deep proficiency with gcloud CLI, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, and Git.
Networking & Security: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform VPCs, Hybrid Connectivity, IAM governance, and security auditing.
Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or Node.js.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
