Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect

Gejits Infotech Inc. is seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect to design, lead, and govern enterprise IAM solutions for a direct State of Florida client in Tallahassee, FL. This role will drive IAM architecture, governance, SSO/MFA/passwordless authentication, identity federation, privileged access management, identity lifecycle automation, and compliance (HIPAA/NIST).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions using Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Develop and enforce IAM policies, standards, and governance frameworks for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.

• Configure and maintain SSO, MFA, and passwordless authentication across enterprise applications.

• Integrate IAM solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premises systems to enable secure hybrid identity.

• Implement RBAC, ABAC, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

• Design and manage identity federation and external identity provider integrations (SAML, OIDC, OAuth).

• Conduct regular access reviews, identity audits, and compliance checks to meet regulatory requirements (HIPAA, NIST, etc.).

• Collaborate with security and application teams to ensure secure onboarding/offboarding processes and identity lifecycle automation.

• Provide expertise in identity threat detection and response, including monitoring and remediation of suspicious activities.

• Advise on best practices for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and implement automation for provisioning/deprovisioning.

• Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and recommend improvements for security, scalability, and user experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in IAM architecture and design.

• Deep expertise in Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including advanced configurations and integrations.

• Strong understanding of identity protocols and federation concepts (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).

• Experience with MFA, SSO, passwordless authentication, and conditional access policies.

• Knowledge of identity lifecycle management, RBAC, ABAC, and PAM.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2) and IAM audit practices.

• Hands-on experience with IGA tools and automation.

• Ability to integrate IAM solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise applications.

• Relevant certifications such as Okta Certified Consultant, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience with Zero Trust identity architecture and modern authentication strategies.

• Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR integrations and identity security monitoring workflows.

• Experience supporting healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
