Backend/API Developer
Location: Boston, MA Hybrid
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend/API Developer with 7 10 years of experience in Python development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that support our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Python and its frameworks, as well as experience in building scalable and efficient backend solutions.
Responsibilities
:
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python.
Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user facing elements with server side logic.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
Implement security and data protection measures.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
Debug and troubleshoot applications to ensure optimal performance.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes.
Mandatory
Skills :
Proficient in Python programming language.
Strong experience with RESTful API development.
Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 10 years of professional experience in backend development.
Proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
