Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Packaging Technology to lead high-impact initiatives focused on cost optimization, sustainability, and Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA).

This role requires a combination of technical expertise in packaging materials and processes along with strong project leadership skills to drive measurable business outcomes across multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging projects focused on cost savings, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and external suppliers.

• Manage project timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder expectations.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.

• Drive packaging innovation while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

• Support packaging sustenance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

• Evaluate alternative materials and designs to improve performance and reduce costs.

• Identify and implement packaging cost-reduction opportunities.

• Lead and facilitate VE/VA workshops to generate actionable improvement initiatives.

• Track, validate, and report realized savings from packaging initiatives.

• Develop data-driven recommendations for material substitution, redesign, and process optimization.

• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and financial impact to leadership.

• Build strong relationships with global teams and packaging suppliers.

• Align packaging strategies with broader business objectives and sustainability goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

• 8 10 years of experience in packaging technology combined with project management.

• Demonstrated success in leading cost savings and VE/VA initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.

• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to sustainability-focused packaging initiatives.
