We are seeking an experienced
Tester to support a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) program in a fully remote capacity. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, requiring strong backend testing experience, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with complex data and systems, and has a proven track record of successfully supporting remote teams under tight delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities - Execute hands-on functional, integration, and backend testing (not limited to web UI testing)
- Review and interpret functional and technical requirements to design effective test coverage
- Develop and execute detailed test scripts, including expected outcomes
- Create, manage, and maintain test data to support validation efforts
- Document defects, issues, and test results using ALM or similar tools
- Provide daily status updates and communicate findings clearly via email and meetings
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, including monthly functional releases and twice-monthly reference data patches
- Work collaboratively with developers, analysts, and other testers in an Agile SDLC environment
- Adhere to aggressive delivery timelines while maintaining high quality standards
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accountability in a remote work setting
Basic Qualifications - 5 years of total professional experience
- U.S. Citizenship required by federal contract
Preferred Experience - Hands-on test execution experience, including backend/system-level testing
- Experience working within an Agile software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with test management or defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM, VersionOne)
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis
- Experience with Databricks
- Exposure to JSON, XML, APIs, Unix/Linux environments, SOAP UI, Notepad++, or similar tools
- Experience testing complex data-driven systems or large enterprise platforms
- Technical or reporting background that supports analysis and defect investigation
- Comfort ramping up in complex, high-volume environments with evolving requirements

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,499.00 - $138,549.00
