Enterprise Architect - Corporate Systems
Role Overview:
As the Enterprise Architect for Corporate Systems, you will lead the end-to-end technology strategy, target-state architecture, and rationalization for the core enterprise platforms that keep our global business running. Your domain spans HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, Supply Chain, Enterprise Risk Management, Restaurant Development, Restaurant experience, ESG, and Enterprise Service Management (ESM).
This role will partner directly with executive stakeholders across Corporate Functions to align technical capability roadmaps with overarching business goals. You will guide complex multi-system transformations, optimize enterprise integrations, eliminate technical debt, and ensure our corporate architecture balances long-term strategic evolution with day-to-day operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Strategy & Capability Mapping:
- Define and maintain the multi-year Target State Architecture and technology roadmaps across several Corporate domains.
- Perform continuous business capability mapping to identify redundancies, gaps, and rationalization opportunities across the enterprise landscape.
- Establish strategic architectural inflection points to sequence multi-phase migrations, maximizing testing leverage, minimizing throwaway work, and avoiding business disruption.
- Domain Leadership & Governance:
- Partner with senior functional leaders (Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, IT Ops) to translate business strategies into actionable, composable technical architectures.
- Lead architecture review boards (ARBs) for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security models, and data governance frameworks.
- Drive shift-left data quality strategies, ensuring data validation, lineage, and master data management (MDM) are enforced close to the point of generation.
- Solution & Platform Integration:
- Oversee integration architecture (APIs, event-driven platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines) connecting ERP cores, HRIS platforms, ESM suites, and niche corporate software.
- Define the architectural patterns for securely embedding Generative AI, Agentic Workflows, and Predictive Analytics across corporate platforms (e.g., automated invoice processing in Finance, candidate screening in HR, contract analysis in Legal).
- Establish clear boundaries between core systems of record, platforms of engagement, and analytics/reporting layers to prevent monolith sprawl and maintain agility.
- Evaluate, pilot, and select enterprise-grade SaaS and off-the-shelf software, ensuring compliance with global regulatory, localization, and privacy standards (GDPR, SOX, local labor laws)
- Technical Debt & Operational Excellence:
- Systematically identify, quantify, and govern technical debt across legacy corporate platforms, establishing realistic retirement plans for aging tech stacks.
- Collaborate with Information Security and Compliance teams to safeguard sensitive employee, financial, and legal data across all environments and third-party integrations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: 10+ years in IT/technology, with at least 5+ years in an Enterprise Architecture or Principal Architect role within a complex, global organization.
Functional Expertise: Deep familiarity with major enterprise software ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Salesforce) and modern integration patterns (REST/GraphQL APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, iPaaS)
Framework Knowledge: Practical proficiency with EA frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, Zachman) combined with a flexible, real-world execution style.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to speak the business language, translate technical constraints into business risks and ROI
Data Architecture: Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and modern analytics architecture (Data Mesh, Lakehouse concepts).
Preferred Attributes:
- Proven track record leading architecture of large-scale business transformation programs.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Experience navigating compliance and data privacy regulations.
