Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an AI Enablement Lead Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in DMV Area .
Rockville, MD/Tysons, VA/Washington D.C. - Hybrid (3x a week on-site)

Work collaboratively with other members of the Enablement team, Engineers, and customers to develop AI-driven solutions as tools and processes rapidly evolve, ensuring these innovations are seamlessly incorporated.

Core Responsibilities
AI Enablement & Solution Development
Collaborate with Enablement team, Engineers, and customers to identify needs and develop AI-driven SDLC solutions
Prototype and validate solutions as AI tools and processes evolve throughout the year
Demonstrates strong engineering taste and product judgment-discerning what to build (which automations truly add value), how to build it (balancing simplicity with sophistication), and the ability to communicate these decisions with clarity to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Apply problem-solving skills to address technical challenges in AI tool adoption and integration
Bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and practical implementation in SDLC
Rapidly incorporate new solutions into training materials and delivery as they are developed
Serve as technical advisor on AI tool selection, implementation patterns, and best practices

Required Skills
Technical Knowledge & Development Background
Strong SDLC expertise including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), testing strategies, and deployment practices
Developer background with hands-on software development experience and coding proficiency
AI integration in SDLC including AI-powered development tools (eg: AWS Kiro cli)
Capability to identify and correct low-quality AI-generated content
Solution development experience working with cross-functional teams to build and implement technical solutions
Deep understanding of development tools, cloud technologies, and deployment platforms
Advanced problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and design innovative solutions

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly across organizational levels (engineers, customers, leadership)
Stakeholder management and influence without authority across Enablement teams and engineering groups
Strong written communication and documentation skills
Technical credibility to engage meaningfully with engineering teams on solution development

Collaboration & Enablement
Cross-functional collaboration experience working with Enablement teams, engineering, and end-users
Ability to gather requirements and translate customer needs into practical solutions
Experience in iterative solution development and rapid prototyping
Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with emerging technologies
Partnership mindset to co-create solutions rather than just document existing processes

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in software development with demonstrated SDLC expertise
Proven ability to learn and adopt new technologies rapidly

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field
Technical certifications related to SDLC tools or practices - preferred

Success Metrics
The person in this role will be evaluated on:
Knowledge retention measured through assessments and practical application
Program adoption across new hires and existing employees
Solution development contributions and successful implementation of AI enablement initiatives
Time-to-productivity improvements for new developers
Content currency and rapid update cycle as practices evolve
Stakeholder satisfaction with training quality, relevance, and enablement support
Delivery consistency and schedule adherence for instructor-led sessions
Engineering team satisfaction with enablement collaboration and technical contributions

Internal customers/end-users of SDLC tools and processes
HR and organizational learning & development
AI/ML/SE centers of excellence
