Job Description – SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled SDET / QA Automation Engineer with strong programming and automation expertise to drive quality engineering practices. The candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and ensure end-to-end quality across UI, API, and backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing ,
- Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure quality-first delivery
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Implement BDD/TDD practices using Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG/JUnit
- Validate frontend–backend integrations and ensure data integrity across services
- Participate in code reviews, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support release readiness through regression cycles and quality metrics tracking
Mandatory Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript
- Expertise in automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium
- Experience with API testing: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI
- Hands-on with test frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins
- Good knowledge of SQL/DB testing and Unix/Linux
Nice to Have
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Exposure to performance testing (JMeter)
- Knowledge of frontend testing (React/Angular)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana)
