Job Title: SAP Functional & Systems Architect (S/4HANA Upgrade)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional & Systems Architect to lead design decisions and drive requirements for a major SAP upgrade initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering at least one or two SAP S/4HANA upgrade or transformation programs and possess strong stakeholder management capabilities. This is a senior architect-level role requiring both deep functional expertise and strategic systems architecture experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design decisions for large-scale SAP S/4HANA upgrade programs.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and define business requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable SAP functional and technical designs.
• Assess the current SAP landscape and define the upgrade strategy, roadmap, and best practices.
• Drive fit-gap analysis and recommend optimal S/4HANA solutions.
• Provide architectural governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams, integration teams, and project managers to ensure successful implementation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies during the upgrade lifecycle.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership throughout the transformation journey.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong functional and systems architecture background.
• Proven experience leading at least 1–2 SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects.
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration approaches (Brownfield, Greenfield, Hybrid).
• Strong expertise in SAP functional modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.) with cross-module integration knowledge.
• Experience conducting fit-gap workshops and business process re-engineering.
• Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes, integrations, and data migration strategies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to drive decisions in complex enterprise environments.
