RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Plano, TX that is seeking an experienced F5 Engineer/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. This individual will play a key role in supporting application infrastructure, load balancing, server environments, upgrades, disaster recovery, and production support.
Responsibilities:
* Support, maintain, and enhance infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments
* Configure and administer F5 BIG-IP and/or AVI load balancers
* Support infrastructure setup, upgrades, patching, and migrations across Linux and Windows environments
* Manage SSL certificates and keys, including certificate management tools such as Venafi
* Support Apache, Tomcat, and WebSphere environments
* Plan and execute disaster recovery testing
* Support production deployments, releases, incidents, and change management activities
* Partner with application and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable environments
* Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
This is a great fit for someone who has been deeply hands-on with F5/AVI infrastructure and support. Automation is not the primary focus of this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise application infrastructure
* Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP and/or AVI
* Experience supporting Linux and Windows server environments
* Experience with infrastructure migrations, OS patching, and upgrades
* Experience with SSL certificate/key management
* Experience with Apache, Tomcat, and/or WebSphere administration
* Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
* Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, and/or AKS
* Understanding of release, change, and incident management processes
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
